The Ice Road — Alicja Barahona

Arctic Challenge This is a fundraising run in collaboration with the Inuvik Run Club Please start checking for more information on my next extreme run that will take place north of the Arctic Circle. I am planning to run on the Ice Road; the Mackenzie River ice road runs north from the town of Inuvik over one hundred miles of frozen river and sea (Beaufort Sea) to the town of Tuktoyaktuk. I will run the entire length of the ice road and then run back to Inuvik. Yes, it is the same ice road that is shown on TV as ‘Ice Road Truckers’. This is a fundraising run for the Inuvik Homeless Shelter. Please stay tuned!
