Alicja in Greenland - 28 June2016
This was written about Alicja by whoever was keeping the site while she was away. It has been moved into the first person — grammar only, nothing else changed.
I made it to Ilulissat! I took a boat trip to see the icebergs. The weather has not been very cooperative...it rained for 6 days straight. But, this morning, I woke up to the sun rising at 4 am Greenland time (2 am in NYC). I decided it was time to get up and start my marathon. It took me 5 hours and 46 minutes on the very hilly terrain of Ilulissat. I said with the sun out, everything is just beautiful!
I want to thank everyone for their support. It's not too late to donate if you have not yet had a chance to do so. This Arctic Challenge is to support Doctors Without Borders. Please feel free to pass this on to others.
